Overview

At Civitas Chambers, our mediation barristers and accredited mediators provide expert advice and representation in all aspects of dispute resolution through mediation. Members act as both advocates for parties and appointed mediators, facilitating fair, efficient and cost-effective settlements in civil, commercial and public law disputes.

Mediation gives parties the opportunity to reach an agreed resolution without the need for court proceedings. Our barristers help clients prepare effectively for mediation, identify negotiation strategies, and achieve sustainable outcomes that protect both legal and commercial interests.

The Mediation Process

Mediation is a voluntary and confidential process. The mediator works impartially to help parties explore potential settlements and understand the strengths and weaknesses of their respective positions.

Civitas mediators and counsel bring not only technical legal understanding but also strong negotiation and communication skills to support parties through the process.
