A mini-pupillage at Civitas Chambers provides an invaluable opportunity to experience life at a modern civil and public law set.
Mini-pupils are able to observe members of Chambers in court and in conference with both lay clients and instructing solicitors. You will also have the opportunity to speak with members about the profession and ask questions about pupillage and the application process.
Mini-pupillages run for three days and are offered between June and September each year. Placements are observational and designed to give candidates a genuine insight into Chambers’ work and culture.
Civitas Chambers selects mini-pupils on the basis of strong academic ability and a demonstrated commitment to interests and activities beyond the study of law. We accept applications only from those who are currently undertaking a degree course or who have already successfully completed one at the time of applying.
Please note that places are strictly limited, and we cannot guarantee a mini-pupillage for every applicant.
To apply for a mini-pupillage, please email your CV and a covering letter to clerks@civitaslaw.com by 1 June each year.
If your application is successful, you will be contacted directly to confirm the dates of your placement.
For further information please contact our clerks, who will be able to help you with any questions.
