Nick practises in the field of catastrophic injuries: spinal injuries (tetraplegia and paraplegia), traumatic brain injuries (including minimally conscious and persistent vegetive state and locked in) and upper and lower limb amputations.
Such cases include those who have sustained injuries abroad. Mental capacity, PPO’s and provisional damages regularly arise.
Nick has been instructed in catastrophic injury claims arising out of the Animals Act, assaults, construction sites, electrocution, employer’s liability, factories, farming, fairgrounds, forestry, groundwork, highways (maintenance and design) mining, occupier’s liability, product liability, quarries, road traffic (agricultural machinery, cyclists, motor cyclists, pedestrians and vehicles), steelworks, prisons, shipping, theme parks, workplace, work equipment, working at height.
Fatal Accident Act claims and appeals against the Criminal Injuries Compensation Authority also form an important part of his work.
