Dylan Jenkins

Dylan has a busy and varied practice and he accepts instructions across all areas of practice within Chambers.

Dylan joined Chambers as a Pupil in September 2023 and started taking instructions in March 2024. Dylan has been a tenant since September 2024 and conducts work across all areas of practice, in an advisory capacity and for appearances in Court.

Growing up in Ammanford, Carmarthenshire, Dylan was educated at Ysgol Dyffryn Aman before attending Aberystwyth University’s Law School for his undergraduate degree in Law. Dylan later obtained his Masters degree and completed the BPTC at Cardiff University.

Dylan has a keen interest in Company Law and he completed his Masters dissertation on Company Law.

Dylan accepts instructions in Housing Law from private landlords, social landlords and tenants in possession.

Dylan has accepted instructions in housing law matters pertaining to disrepair, Landlord and Tenant disputes and succession of a tenancy. Dylan has particular expertise and experience in Welsh Housing legislation and most recently the implementation of the Renting Homes (Wales) Act 2016.

Dylan has an active and wide-ranging practice in housing matters including disrepair, possession proceedings and homelessness for private and local authority tenants. Dylan is also experienced in representing parties involved in Anti-Social Behaviour injunctions and and subsequent committal trials.

Dylan has developed his advisory practice by providing training on the Renting Homes (Wales) Act 2016 to both local authorities and to leading national law firms. Dylan can accept instructions to provide training on any aspect of Housing law.

Dylan has appeared in Magistrates’ and Family Courts on behalf of South Wales Police and Gwent Police in relation to Domestic Violence Protection Orders, Sexual Harm Prevention Orders, Stalking Protection Orders, Closure Orders, POCA applications, Bail applications and Dangerous Dog matters.

Dylan appears regularly in the Immigration and Asylum Chamber in for both the Home Office and also for appellants. Dylan is regularly instructed to draft appellant skeleton arguments for hearings in the First Tier Tribunal and drafting grounds of appeal and appearing in the Upper Tribunal.

Dylan is a member of the Government Legal Department’s Junior Junior Scheme.

Dylan accepts instructions in all aspects of Employment law and he would like to develop this area of practice.

Dylan has been instructed by both Claimant and Respondents in cases relating to all matters in the employment tribunal such as unfair dismissal, constructive dismissal and Equality Act claims. Dylan has provided advice, prepared pleadings and represent clients at trial.
